Elliotte Friedman and Bleacher Report are reporting the deal is worth $6.5 million average annual value (AAV).
Carolina’s 2017 first-round draft pick was reportedly on the trading block before and during the draft. After the typical flurry of free agent signings on July 1, the rumor mill slowed down for Necas.
Necas, a restricted free agent, filed for salary arbitration on July 5, and the hearing was set for August 4.
