Despite all the playoff hype, it’s nice to have a night like tonight for the Hurricanes.
Veteran Bryan Bickell is back on the ice five months after a multiple sclerosis diagnosis, and Eric Staal, the career points leader for the Hurricanes franchise (non-Whalers), will be honored in front of many of his old teammates.
But it’s still a must-win for the Hurricanes, and they’re going to need all they can get out of their lines tonight. A new face to the roster, Andrew Poturalski, was announced earlier this week. He will take the ice as #57.
