The Tampa Bay Lightning remained red hot and defeated the Carolina Hurricanes, 4-3 in overtime on Saturday night in Tampa Bay.
The Hurricanes played one of the hottest teams in the league dead even until Alex Killorn broke the tie with just 43 seconds left in the extra period.
Eddie Lack made a couple of beautiful saves in overtime and ended up making 26 saves on the 30 shots he faced, although he had some shaky moments handling the puck earlier in the game.
The Lightning took a 1-0 lead in the opening period when Ondrej Palat got past Ron Hainsey and beat Lack with a skill move.
