- Another early game today, owing to the fact that St. John's is actually an hour and a half ahead of the US east coast. I can honestly say I had no idea there was such a thing as Newfoundland Daylight Time (NDT) or that it worked in half-hour increments.
- Yes, it's only preseason, but the Canes won their first preseason game last night, Jeff Skinner scored two goals (plus one more in exhibition overtime for the fake hat trick), and Noah Hanifin had another solid performance, so that's cause for at least a mild celebration.
