For the first time in almost one full month, the Carolina Hurricanes had back-to-back off days heading into their late-afternoon bout with the Florida Panthers.
The rest will be much-needed as they host a Florida team that has pushed them to their limit in all three head-to-head matchups to this point. Carolina has been on the winning side of two of those three games, but each game has gone to overtime.
