RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has trimmed its training camp roster by 16 players. The team’s roster now stands at 33 players as the team prepares for a two-game trip to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and St. Johns, Newfoundland, for exhibition games against the Islanders and Senators.
Forwards Erik Karlsson, Patrick Brown, Kyle Hagel and Carter Sandlak, defensemen Danny Biega, Keegan Lowe, Tyler Ganly and Jake Chelios; and goaltenders Rasmus Tirronen and Daniel Altshuller have been assigned to Charlotte of the American Hockey League (AHL).
