The Carolina Hurricanes did not surprise anyone when they decided to trade their 27th overall pick to the Chicago Blackhawks for the 34th and 50th overall picks.
As I mentioned in my NHL Preview, the team did the same thing back in 2021 when they traded their 27th overall to Nashville for the 40th and 51st overall.
The Canes picked Scott Morrow and Ville Koivunen with those picks while the Predators chose Zachary LHeureux.
Some interesting names still available are Igor Chernyshov, Andrew Basha, Ryder Ritchie, Leo Sahlin Wallenius, Charlie Elick, Cole Hutson, and Colonel John Mustard.
