The Carolina Hurricanes started off their preseason with a 5-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night at the PNC.
The team, which many predict to win the Cup this season, had five different scorers.
Goaltenders Frederik Andersen and Pyotr Kochetkov combined for the win. Each of them allowed one goal.
After falling behind 1-0, Japlen Halbgewachs tied it up just eight seconds later. A couple of minutes after that, Caleb Jones found the back of the net and the home team never looked back.
Tony DeAngelo scored a goal on a rocket of a shot from the point and added an assist as well.
