Elias Lindholm, the Canes' first-round pick in 2013 who has made significant progress over his two seasons with the team, has agreed to a two-year contract extension worth $5.4 million. The deal will take effect in the 2016-17 season and will stretch through 2018, when Lindholm will be 23 years old and two years away from unrestricted free agency.
