Hurricanes Recall Slavin, McGinn, Di Giuseppe

RALEIGH, NCRon Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled defenseman Jaccob Slavin (SLAY-vihn) and forwards Brock McGinn and Phil Di Giuseppe from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League. The Hurricanes have also reassigned defenseman Ryan Murphy to Charlotte.

Slavin, 21, has earned one assist in six games on the NHL level this season. The Erie, CO, native made his NHL debut for the Hurricanes on Nov. 20 against Toronto, and earned his first NHL point with an assist against the Rangers on Nov.
