The Carolina Hurricanes have re-called goaltender Michael Leighton from Charlotte and have reassigned Daniel Altshuller back to Charlotte. Altshuller served as Cam Ward’s backup during Tuesday’s game versus New Jersey after Eddie Lack was diagnosed with a concussion.
The Checkers are currently on a road trip through the upper Midwest, and Leighton will meet the Canes on their arrival to St. Louis later today. The Canes’ scheduled practice for today was cancelled.
