Less than 24 hours after Patrick Brown was returned to Charlotte, the Carolina Hurricanes have announced they recalled forward Lucas Wallmark. This will be the third call-up for Wallmark this season. Wallmark scored his first NHL goal earlier this season, his only point in four games with the Hurricanes this year.
It remains to be seen whether Wallmark will receive playing time during his third stint with the Hurricanes. Head coach Bill Peters has been hesitant playing younger forwards this season when recalled from Charlotte. The Hurricanes have yet to recall Valentin Zykov who leads Charlotte with 25 goals.
