It did not take long post retirement for Justin Williams to find a new role with the Hurricanes’ organization.
The team announced Monday that the long-time forward, who retired following the 2019-20 season, has been hired as a special advisor to general manager Don Waddell.
Williams played 449 games over two stints with the Hurricanes, scoring 128 goals and 316 points. He served as the team’s captain during the 2018-19 season, and was instrumental in Carolina snapping its playoff drought.
