Hurricanes lose first game 7 since relocation and get eliminated by Rangers

For the first time since relocation, the Carolina Hurricanes lost a game seven. It was in the second round against a New York Rangers team that this Carolina Hurricanes squad should have beaten, but we’ll talk about that another time. As for now, we have to talk about the 6-2 loss the Hurricanes found themselves on the wrong end of in an elimination game in the playoffs.

What can you say about this one other than the Rangers’ offense just dominated the game? Carolina couldn’t keep up with the high-scoring power the Rangers possess. It wasn’t a good matchup and the Canes couldn’t take a game at Madison Square Garden and now they’re out because they couldn’t get their offense to wake up.
