Hurricanes hit reset button to dominate Devils 4-2

Jackson Blake scored his first NHL goal, Pyotr Kochetkov made 23 saves, and the Carolina Hurricanes handed the New Jersey Devils only their second loss of the season with a 4-2 win at Lenovo Center Tuesday night.

The game was even more lopsided than the final score. From the start, it was clear that the Hurricanes had been working to get the effort of their Friday loss against Tampa out of their system. Jacob Markstrom was under assault from the beginning, and the Canes played with an undeniable edge that had seemed to be lacking at times on Friday.
