As we come down the stretch of the NHL regular season, the Carolina Hurricanes hold a one-point lead on the New Jersey Devils. The Hurricanes do have two games in hand on the Devils but this week will be a busy one for Rod Brind’Amour’s group.
The Canes will have two straight matchups against the Metro Division rivals, the New York Rangers. Tonight will be in New York City, while Thursday’s match-up will be in Raleigh.
After making some big splashes before the trade deadline, the Rangers had a brief moment of adjustment but seem to be hitting their stride, scoring 22 goals in their last four games.
