In a game that the Hurricanes trailed in twice, they hold out and defeat the Seattle Kraken by a score of 3-2. In a much better start than the last two games the Canes have played, Carolina was there from the opening puck drop and they started running the Kraken all over the ice early in this one. A rare 5-on-4 powerplay goal against the league’s best PK and a sloppy line change led to the goals against, but that won’t happen every game.
Two powerplay markers for the Canes in this one helped the team past a potentially tricky opponent in the newest addition to the league.
