Hurricanes falter in Game 1 against Lightning

The Carolina Hurricanes suffered a disappointing loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 1 of their second round series Sunday night at PNC Arena.

The game came pretty much as advertised as it was two of the best and most exciting teams in hockey battling it out in an exciting and fast paced match. It’s two top-tier teams playing fast and skilled hockey without much of a trap system slowing down the speed or after whistle antics.

No drama, just hockey.

Finally.

Despite the loss, Carolina showed that it can hang with the defending champions and probably would have won Game 1 if it wasn’t for the otherworldly abilities of Andrei Vasilevskiy and tremendous blunder of Alex Nedeljkovic.
