Amendola, a 34-year employee of the Hurricanes franchise, served as an alternate governor and was one of three executive vice presidents in the team's front office.
The Carolina Hurricanes this week parted ways with one of the longest-serving employees of the organization.
As first reported by Derek Rowles of WTVD-TV, Hurricanes executive vice president and chief financial officer Mike Amendola, a 34-year employee of the franchise, has left the organization. Chip Alexander of the News and Observer reports that Amendola's replacement is Dennis Moore, who served as the CFO of the OHL Plymouth Whalers and was an employee of Compuware during Hurricanes owner Peter Karmanos' leadership of that company.
