The Carolina Hurricanes started out strongly, faded a bit in the second period, but closed out very well as they defeated the Anaheim Ducks, 6-3 on Thursday night at the PNC.
The Canes only allowed one shot on goal in the first period as they jumped to a 2-0 lead.
The two goals were scored on perfect, 1-2-3 passing plays. Brady Skjei broke in alone and Seth Jarvis found him to open the scoring.
Aho then found Svechnikov who made no mistake, and the home team was cooking.
The second period was a different story though as the Ducks scored three times, the first coming just 25 seconds into the period.
