The Carolina Hurricanes allowed the tying goal with just 16 seconds left in regulation but held on to defeat the Arizona Coyotes, 5-4 in overtime on Saturday night in Phoenix.
Victor Rask scored the game-winner with another cutting move toward the net, 53 seconds into the extra period. Eddie Lack made an excellent pass to center ice to Rask to earn another assist. That is his second in as many nights and those are the first two assists of the goaltender's NHL career.
The Canes had a three goal lead early in the third period but the Coyotes kept chipping away at it until the tying tally got by Lack late.
