The Carolina Hurricanes were entering a tough part of their season against top competition and were without their top two goalies, but once again they rose to the occasion as they defeated the New York Rangers, 4-3, Wednesday night at the Lenovo Center.
Spencer Martin made 19 saves on 22 shots to earn the win for the home team.
The Canes jumped out to a 1-0 lead about five minutes into the game when Jack Drury rifled a tight angled shot past Igor Shesterkin.
