The Carolina Hurricanes got three goals from their two new players as they defeated the Winnipeg Jets, 4-2 on Sunday evening at the Lenovo Center.
Mark Jankowski, who the Hurricanes acquired on trade deadline day from Nashville for a fifth round draft pick, scored two goals in his debut for Carolina.
Logan Stankoven, part of the package of assets the Canes received from Dallas for Mikko Rantanen, also scored his first as a Hurricane.
Late in the first period, Jankowski got things started when he broke up a Winnipeg pass, got the puck to Scott Morrow, who fed him the puck back.
