Hurricanes 3, Oilers 2 - OT

The Carolina Hurricanes battled back from an 0-2 deficit in the third period to defeat the Edmonton Oilers, 3-2 in OT at Rogers Place on Tuesday night.

Sebastian Aho scored the game-winner with just seven seconds left in the extra stanza off of beautiful passing by Shayne Gostisbehere and Martin Necas.

After two periods of whiffed chances and missed open net opportunities, the out of synch Canes found some mojo in the third. Of course, line juggling by head coach, Rod Brind’amour helped.

Gostisbehere got the scoring started with a blast during a powerplay. The goal came just 44 seconds into the period.
