The Carolina Hurricanes battled back from behind twice, tied the game in the third period, and then won in overtime as they defeated the New York Islanders, 3-2 on Thursday night in New York.
The win improved Carolina's overall record to 4-6-0 and they finished their seven game road trip at 4-3-0.
For the second straight game, Ron Hainsey notched the game-winner for the Hurricanes.
Eddie Lack went the distance for the visitors in this game and earned his first win of the season by making 17 saves on 19 New York shots.
