The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Chicago Blackhawks, 3-2 on Thursday night at the Lenovo Center. The win gave the Canes seven straight games in which they earned at least one point.
The bug is hitting Carolina as Sebastian Aho and Taylor Hall were too ill to play. After the game, Rod Brind’Amour said that a few other players were not feeling their best either.
Ryan Suzuki was called up from Chicago at the last minute and made it just before game time. It was his first NHL game and the center said the afternoon was such a rush he didn’t have a chance to get nervous.
