The Carolina Hurricanes had some good moments as well as some, not so good moments, but did what they needed to do to earn the win against a scrappy Flyers team in Philadelphia on Monday night.
The win made three in a row for Carolina and pushed their record to 6-4-0. The Flyers dropped to 4-4-1.
Stefan Noesen started the scoring off of a nice play by Andrei Svechnikov. The goal came just three minutes and change into the game.
But the Flyers would score twice to close out the first period, even though the Canes were outshooting the home team by a 12-7 margin.
