Faulk Named NHL's Third Star of the Week

RALEIGH, NC – The National Hockey League today announced that Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Justin Faulk has been named its third star of the week for the week ending Dec. 13. Chicago’s Corey Crawford and Edmonton’s Taylor Hall were named the league’s first and second stars, respectively.

Faulk, 23, netted three goals and added three assists (6 points) as the Hurricanes won two of three road games this week. The South St. Paul, MN, native leads all NHL skaters this season in power-play goals (12) and is the first player in NHL history to score his first 12 goals of the season on the power-play.
