For two and a half periods, the Carolina Hurricanes could not find the back of the net no matter how hard they tried, but with 10 minutes gone in the third they finally broke through and then scored twice more as they defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday night, 3-2 at the PNC Arena.
The win gives the team a 12-8-0 record as they finished up their five game homestand at 3-2-0.
The win did not come easy as the Jackets scored twice in the third to open up a 2-0 lead, though Pyotr Kochetkov was playing well for the home team.
