Last nights Carolina Hurricanes regulation 6-3 victory over the Florida Panthers marked the second time the franchise started the season 4-0-0. The first time this start happened, it was the 1995-96 season. The team was the Hartford Whalers.
Even though hockey fans cheer for their teams with the same fiery passion, 1995 seems like a different world than 2019. With the potential of making franchise history Friday night, a win over the New York Islanders would equal best start, we should revisit 1995 first.
