The Charlotte Checkers, much like their big brother franchise in Raleigh, have been feeling a bit under the weather as of late. Depleted by injuries and callups, the Checkers dropped four straight in regulation, only scoring three goals in that time period. The team was able to get back on track with a win Tuesday evening to avoid making it five straight losses.
There aren’t many positives to take away from the losses. Charlotte dropped a pair of games against the division rival Hershey Bears as well as a pair of games against the Toronto Marlies, one of the best teams in the league.
