Game one of the Stanley Cup playoffs is in the book, and the Hurricanes emerge victorious by the final score of 5-1. It was a score that Carolina certainly inflated late in the game, but it wasn’t a game that Carolina ever looked like they were going to lose control of after they took their lead. It was a great start to the series at PNC Arena for the Hurricanes as they look to continue to build on their series lead.
Despite this being a game that could have gone either way, the Hurricanes managed to run up the score in large part due to their goalie.
