The Carolina Hurricanes face off against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals in Raleigh after starting the preseason 2-0 against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Roster decisions will come soon, so for some players it’s their last chance to force Rod Brind’Amour to make a tough choice.
In game two, Brind’Amour played more Hurricanes stars than in game one and fans were able to get a glimpse of summer acquisition Dougie Hamilton, who scored his first “unofficial” goal as a Hurricane. The team scored 10 goals over the first two games so it remains to be seen if the Canes can keep the goal scoring going after many critics had it listed as a weakness of the current roster.
