March is a long old month. It’s got two more days in it than the month prior. It’s also a month that could make or break the season for the Carolina Hurricanes. A good month could see the Canes safely above the cut line with only a few games left. If it’s a bad month, Carolina could see themselves out of the playoff picture altogether.
Carolina didn’t exactly get off to a great start this March with a 4-1 loss against the Philadelphia Flyers last night. Philadelphia are 24-5-4 at home, so it’s not the biggest cause for concern, but it is still not the start the Hurricanes would have wanted for this month.
