The Carolina Hurricanes will ice a different lineup than they usually do on Saturday night against the Montreal Canadiens.
Carolina called up forwards Brock McGinn and Phil Di Giuseppe and defenseman Jaccob Slavin on Friday from the Charlotte Checkers. The club also sent Ryan Murphy back down to the AHL to get more seasoning coming off of a concussion injury that held him out of the lineup for 7 games.
All 3 call-ups will play tonight, including Di Giuseppe, a 2012 2nd round draft pick, who is making his debut in the National Hockey League after spending the first season and change with the Charlotte Checkers.
