The Carolina Hurricanes announced Tuesday that they have signed forward Andrew Miller to a one-year, two-way deal. The contract will pay Miller $650,000 at the National Hockey League level or $285,000 at the American Hockey League level, with a salary guarantee of $305,000.
Miller was an offensive threat for the Charlotte Checkers last season as an anchor on the Checkers top line centering Lucas Wallmark and Valentin Zykov. The 28-year old finished the season with 11 goals and 30 assists for 41 points. Miller finished third on the team in scoring behind star rookies Wallmark and Andrew Poturalski.
