Even when searching for the tournament it is hard to find anything about the tournament. The Prospects Tournament was renamed the Matthew Wuest Memorial Cup in 2015 to honor the founder of the site www.capgeek.com who passed away from cancer in 2015.
This year’s tournament is the 17th edition of the competition The tournament is put on every year by the Detroit Red Wings who hold their training camp in Traverse City, Michigan every year. The eight team tournament splits the teams up into two groups of four with the winners of each group meeting up for the championship.
