For the first time since he joined the Carolina Hurricanes in the summer of 2014, Brad Malone has been placed on waivers.
The common fourth line fixture has played the last season and a half with the Hurricanes, bouncing in and out of the lineup on most nights. Most recently, Malone has failed to crack the lineup since January 24 in a game against the Calgary Flames. He has gone 20 games without a point in the games that he has played.
Malone, 26, he netted two goals to go along with his three assists this season in 35 games played.
