The Carolina Hurricanes have announced that their reining first round draft pick and top prospect Noah Hanifin will sit out of the 2015 Traverse City Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, Michigan due to injury.
2013 6th round draft pick Tyler Ganly will replace Hanifin on the roster. Ganly inked a three-year rookie deal with the club back on June 1.
Hanifin, 18, sustained an injury at USA’s World Junior Evaluation Camp according in August to CH.com. He will still attend Carolina Hurricanes training camp in mid-September and is expected to have a very good shot at making the team out of camp.
