On Thursday, the Detroit Red Wings announced the eight teams that will compete in this year’s Traverse City Prospect Tournament for the Matthew Wuest Memorial Cup, starting on September 11.

The eight teams that will compete in the tournament in September are the Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, Dallas Stars, and Detroit Red Wings in the Gordie Howe Division, and the Columbus Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers, and St. Louis Blues in the Ted Lindsay Division.
Per the Red Wings’ official team site, teams will play each opponent in their division in a round-robin format before a crossover on the final day of the tournament, capped off with the first-place finishers in each division meeting for the Matthew Wuest Memorial Cup on Tuesday, Sept.
