Earlier this morning, recently re-signed Carolina Hurricanes president and general manager, Don Waddell, announced that the Hurricanes have hired Michigan State University goaltending coach, Jason Muzzatti, to fill the same position for them. Muzzatti had spent the past four seasons coaching at Michigan State.
In the press release announcing Muzzatti’s hiring, Don Waddell had this to say:
“Jason brings a wealth of experience as a former NHL goaltender and a coach at multiple levels. We believe he will fit in well in our coaches’ office and form strong relationships with our netminders.”
During his time playing at Michigan State University, Muzzatti showed himself to be one of the best goaltenders in school history.
