So is everybody on board with the idea that Eddie Lack won’t be here this offseason? Rumors are already starting to swirl after Bill Peters’ statements last Friday about the Carolina Hurricanes backup goaltender. Elliot Friedman stated clashes between the Swede of a play and personal standpoint could lead to Lack’s exit.
But if Lack gets traded that still leaves a hole to be filled in the Hurricanes goalie depth chart. Goalies down on the farm like Daniel Altschuler and Alex Nedjlekovic probably aren’t ready for the NHL. Even if they were, moving either one up to Raleigh to play limited minutes behind Cam Ward would do little good.
