When the training camp roster was initially announced on the 11th there wasn’t any real surprises or PTOs on the roster. It seemed as if this would be the first time in a long time that the Carolina Hurricanes would go into camp “as is”. But as camp opened up Friday morning defenseman Fredrik Claesson hit the ice with “Team Passion.”
In signing a professional tryout, Claesson joins an already crowded blueline and will be completing with the likes of Haydn Fleury, Jake Bean, Chase Priskie, Gustav Forsling and Roland McKeown for the 6th and possibly 7th defenseman spots.
