One of the more experienced goalies in the NHL is the current backup for the Carolina Hurricanes, Cam Ward. With a solid performance in his last start, on Dec. 2, against the Florida Panthers, Ward notched his 299th career win. That puts him fifth among active NHL goalies in terms of total career wins.
Only Ryan Miller, Marc-Andre Fleury, Henrik Lundqvist, and Roberto Luongo have more career wins among active goaltenders. With a win against the San Jose Sharks on Dec. 7, Ward would move within 61 wins of Miller. He’s currently one win above Kari Lehtonen. Yet, Ward should get more chances than Lehtonen in the NHL moving forward.
