Brett Pesce has been a name that’s been labeled as being one of the best bargain prices for a defenseman in the NHL. The benefit is that the Carolina Hurricanes have two defensemen locked up for a very affordable price. The other is Jaccob Slavin.
Pesce was a stellar defenseman regardless of who he was on a pair with. Whether it was Slavin or Justin Faulk, he was always able to mesh with who was paired with. And that says a lot about Pasce’s ability to play defense. When on a pair with Slavin, he plays on his strong side and shuts down opposing players.
