Carolina Hurricanes: Blue Jackets edge Canes 2-1 in overtime

The Columbus Blue Jackets gave the Carolina Hurricanes all they could take before claiming the 2-1 victory in overtime. This game could not have been much closer as both goalies gave all they had.

Sergei Bobrovsky stood on his head for another game as the reigning Vezina Trophy winner continues to look the part. Meanwhile, Scott Darling was much improved from the first game of the season where he allowed four goals to the Minnesota Wild.

Sonny Milano scored two goals for the Blue Jackets while Jeff Skinner scored the only goal for the Canes. Skinner’s goal came on a turnover from the Jackets and put it past Bobrovsky through the five hole.
