Sebastian Aho has continued his successful 2015-2016 season by being named to participate in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. This will be the third international tournament he will play in during 2016, the others being the 2016 IHF World Junior Championships and the 2016 IIHF World Championships.
In the World Juniors Aho finished second overall in scoring with 14 points (5g, 9a) in 7 games. The only player to score more points was his countryman and line mate, Jesse Puljujarvi who had 5 goals and 12 assists. Finland went on to win the goal medal against Russia with Aho netting a goal and an assist.
