Following the kinda-sorta departure of GM Ron Francis, it looks like team owner Tom Dundon has decided to gut the management rather than the roster. Well, I’m gonna do something really rare on my part, this being: a good deed.
The next GM of the Carolina Hurricanes will be thrusted right in the middle of an extremely tough situation. We’ve got some fantastic defensive youth, (ie. Hanifin and Slavin) some fantastic potential offensive superstars, (ie. Teravainen and Aho) some quickly aging veterans that really need to go and a nightmarish goaltending situation that will hurt us for years unless someone does something about it.
