The Carolina Hurricanes are 40 games into their 2015-2016 season. They find themselves directly at NHL .500 with a 17-17-6 record, and with over half the season left to go, they may be looking for some more help from the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL.
Injuries and poor play can come out of no where for an NHL team and its players. The Hurricanes have been prime examples of this, ranking amongst the top of the league in man games lost last year.
So far this season, the Canes have largely avoided the injury bug with a few exceptions.
