RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled forward Patrick Brown from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL). Brown will join the Hurricanes for their game on Saturday at PNC Arena against the New York Islanders.
Brown, 23, is the lone Checkers player to play in all 66 of the team’s games this season, and ranks tied for fourth on the team in goals (13). The Bloomfield Hills, MI, native is in his second professional season and played in seven NHL games with Carolina in 2014-15.
